This easy to grow, harvest and eat , day onion, is originally from Italy and like most of the onion family, it is usually at least 3 – months from planting to maturity.
Germination is good and reasonably quick, and transplanting into the garden is aso quite easy.
They will sulk for a day or two but adapt to most soils very well.
The only real difference for cultivation, is that these will need a litle more water than most onions.
The other thing to remember is that the soil should be very well dug beforehand as they will form flat bottoms if the soil offers resistence by being too hard for the bulb to grow down into.
